Winner of interior Architecture category in the 2023 NSW Architecture awards for Smart Design Studios.

This grand property in Elizabeth Bay has stood for 100 years. The renovation consisted of restoring and enlivening an old heritage section and the add on of a rear extension to express a modern addition. Architectural lighting controlled through an automation system to bring ambience to the home at the touch of a button. A few highlights were the pin sized LED lights installed on the grand staircase which was a challenge but produced some amazing results and awesome rewards. The outdoor area which was made into an extension of the living space with its automated sliding door which opened up onto a compact lap pool and integrated pond with LED strips to simulate light reflecting off the ripples. Enhanced further by a single tree that was illuminated for a simple yet very effective look.
